  • Like the title says, this is Part 2 of the Sports Guy’s NBA player rankings. BTW, The Sports Guy now has his own page on espn.com.

  • This LA Times article (registration required) lists much of the USADA’s case against Tim Montgomery. It sounds like they have the goods on him and it’s only a matter of time. I wonder what Marion Jones thinks about all of this.

  • This is always one of my favorite Sports Guy articles – ranking NBA players by their trade value. I laughed out loud at the Vin Baker joke. This is actually Part 1. Part 2 will be out tomorrow, I guess.

  • A New Zealand boxer is headed to the Olympics after serving four years in prison for killing his 5-month-old child. Since his release in 1999, he has been convicted seven times for other offenses, including assault. Sounds like a model Kiwi that they can be proud of.

  • This will be a very interesting off-season in the NBA. This is a great breakdown of how Shaq could or couldn’t go to every team in the league.

  • NC State landed top-50 prospect Courtney Fells yesterday. Fells is a 6’6″ guard who is a gifted shooter. A nice pickup for Herb.

  • Dukies In NBA

The Chicago Sun Times takes a look at the reputation of Dukies in the NBA. It used to be said that they were all busts, but that isn’t so true anymore. Now, the rap is that they don’t win NBA titles.

  • Martina Navratilova is an absolute freak. At the age of 47, ten years removed from her last singles match at Wimbledon (her last one was a finals victory), Martina crushed world #102 Catalina Castano 6-0, 6-1. 0 and 1!! That’s incredible.

  • The Sports Guy misses the good old days, of say two years ago, when poker was still a bit mysterious. Now, it’s everywhere, like in my last two links.

  • If you have a wife and kids, you can’t just set off on a year of poker and expect it to all be cool. Things don’t work that way. Jay learned that lesson, but handled it quite well. He sent his wife and daughters off to Europe as compensation. Better hope he starts winning more…
