    A New Zealand boxer is headed to the Olympics after serving four years in prison for killing his 5-month-old child. Since his release in 1999, he has been convicted seven times for other offenses, including assault. Sounds like a model Kiwi that they can be proud of.

    Martina Navratilova is an absolute freak. At the age of 47, ten years removed from her last singles match at Wimbledon (her last one was a finals victory), Martina crushed world #102 Catalina Castano 6-0, 6-1. 0 and 1!! That’s incredible.

    As everyone predicted, the Lakers, like the domain of the fabled king Ozymandias, are crumbling. Phil Jackson is out, Shaq is demanding a trade and Kobe filed for free agency. Kobe might well be back, but he could choose to go anywhere. They may have a completely new team next year.

    Kevin Donahue of Fanblog.com says Virginia has the best helmet. Tough to say who is best, but I think we can agree that Duke and Maryland have the worst.
