Well, now that this site nearly three months old, I finally decided to tell people what the hell it is. Is it a blog? Is it just food for Dave’s ego? Read this for the answers.
The main message I really want to convey is that I want this site to be collaborative. A community. I may not have anyone else writing articles (maybe someday), but I do want people to post their comments. The goal of this site is to be a gathering place for sports fans, ACC fans in particular, to get together and shoot the breeze. This can be somewhere to go when you’re tired of reading the fanatical mouth breathers who tend to dominate the message boards on the school-specific fansites. There needs to be a place where you can go to have intelligent (hell, I’ll settle for not-idiotic) debates. This can be that place. Think of it as a local sports bar on the web. In a bar, not everyone will root for the same team. Yeah, the other guys might be dumb and they’ll probably be drunk, but the conversation can still be fun because everyone has a slightly different viewpoint.
So again, go post something in the message boards! Right now. Go!
